✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent me to Yemen. I said, “O Messenger of God, you are sending me to people older than me, while I am young and cannot discern judicial matters?” He placed his hand on my chest and said, “O God, make his tongue firm and guide his heart. O Ali, when two disputants sit before you, do not judge between them until you have heard from the other as you heard from the first. If you do that, the judgment will become clear to you.” He said, “No judgment ever became confused for me after that—or no judgment ever became unclear to me after that.”
