✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in his gathering, talking to the people, a Bedouin came and said: O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour? He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued talking. Some of the people said: He heard it and disliked what he said. Others said: Rather, he did not hear it. When he finished his talk, he said: "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" He said: Here I am, O Messenger of Allah. He said: "When trust is wasted, then await the Hour." He said: O Messenger of Allah, how — or [he said] what — is its wasting? He said: "When authority is given to those who are not its people, then await the Hour."
