حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ فَكَتَمَهُ أَلْجَمَهُ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Ḥasan
  2. Ḥammād b. Salamah
  3. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥakam
  4. ʿAṭāʾ b. Abū Rabāḥ
  5. Abū Hurayrah

✧ Whoever is asked about knowledge and conceals it, God [Mighty and Majestic] will bridle him with a bridle of fire.
