حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَوْدَاءَ - أَوْ رَجُلًا - كَانَ يَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَفَقَدَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ، فَقَالُوا: مَاتَ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا كُنْتُمْ آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهِ ! قَالُوا: إِنَّهُ كَانَ [لَيْلًا]، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " دُلُّونِي عَلَى قَبْرِهِ " فَدَلُّوهُ، فَأَتَى قَبْرَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ

✧ A black woman—or a man—used to sweep the mosque. The Messenger of God ﷺ missed him and asked about him. They said: He died. He said: Why did you not inform me? They said: It happened at night. He said: Show me his grave. So they showed him, and he came to his grave and prayed over him.
