✧ I heard Abu Uthman al-Nahdi say: I was a guest of Abu Hurayrah for seven nights. He, his wife, and his servant would divide the night into three parts, taking turns. This one would pray, then wake this one; and this one would pray, then wake this one. He said: I asked: O Abu Hurayrah, how do you fast? He said: As for me, I fast three days at the beginning of the month. If something happens to me, my fast for the month is done.
