حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي أَبُو أُمِّي أَبُو حَبِيبَةَ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الدَّارَ وَعُثْمَانُ مَحْصُورٌ فِيهَا
إِنَّكُمْ تَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةً وَاخْتِلَافًا " أَوْ قَالَ: " اخْتِلَافًا وَفِتْنَةً، فَقَالَ لَهُ قَائِلٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ: فَمَنْ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَمِينِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ " وَهُوَ يُشِيرُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ بِذَلِكَ

✧ You will face after me tribulation and disagreement—or he said: disagreement and tribulation. A man among the people said to him: 'Who is for us then, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'You have the trustworthy one and his companions,' and he pointed to Uthman by that.
