✧ Some of Marwan's daughters-in-law died. People attended her funeral, and Abu Hurayrah attended it. With her were women weeping, so Marwan ordered them to be silenced. Abu Hurayrah said, 'Leave them, for a funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with weeping women, and Umar scolded them. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Leave them, for the soul is afflicted, the eye is tearful, and the covenant is recent.'
