حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سُوقٍ مِنْ أَسْوَاقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَانْصَرَفَ وَانْصَرَفْتُ مَعَهُ، فَجَاءَ إِلَى فِنَاءِ فَاطِمَةَ فَنَادَى الْحَسَنَ فَقَالَ: أَيْ لُكَعُ، أَيْ لُكَعُ، أَيْ لُكَعُ، قَالَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ أَحَدٌ، قَالَ: فَانْصَرَفَ وَانْصَرَفْتُ مَعَهُ، [قَالَ] فَجَاءَ إِلَى فِنَاءِ عَائِشَةَ فَقَعَدَ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ حَبَسَتْهُ لِتَجْعَلَ فِي عُنُقِهِ السِّخَابَ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْتَزَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَالْتَزَمَ هُوَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ، وَأَحِبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ in one of the markets of Madinah, and he departed, and I departed with him. He came to the courtyard of Fatimah and called al-Hasan, saying: 'O little one, O little one, O little one'—he said it three times—but no one answered him. He then turned away, and I turned away with him. He came to the courtyard of 'A'ishah and sat down. Then al-Hasan b. 'Ali came. Abu Hurayrah said: I thought that his mother had detained him to put a necklace around his neck. When he came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ embraced him, and he embraced the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'O Allah, I love him, so love him, and love the one who loves him'—three times.
