حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَأْتِي دَارَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَدُونَهُمْ دَارٌ، فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ! تَأْتِي دَارَ فُلَانٍ وَلَا تَأْتِي دَارَنَا ؟ [قَالَ] فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " لِأَنَّ فِي دَارِكُمْ كَلْبًا قَالُوا: فَإِنَّ فِي دَارِهِمْ سِنَّوْرًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " إِنَّ السِّنَّوْرَ سَبُعٌ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to come to the house of a people among the Ansar, and beyond them there was a house, and that was difficult for them, so they said: "O Messenger of God, glory be to God! You come to the house of so-and-so and you do not come to our house?" Then the Prophet ﷺ said: "Because in your house there is a dog." They said: "But in their house there is a cat." So the Prophet ﷺ said: "The cat is a wild animal."
