حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

فِي الْخَضِرِ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا سُمِّيَ خَضِرًا أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى فَرْوَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ، فَإِذَا هِيَ تَحْتَهُ تَهْتَزُّ خَضْرَاءَ

✧ About al-Khiḍr he said: He was only named Khiḍr because he sat on a white fur, and it began to stir beneath him, green.
