✧ We were present with the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of Khaybar, and he said of a man who was called to Islam, "This one is among the people of the Fire." When we came to the fighting, the man fought fiercely and was wounded. It was said, "O Messenger of God, the man about whom you said he is among the people of the Fire fought fiercely today and has died." The Prophet ﷺ said, "To the Fire." Some of the people were on the verge of doubt. While they were in that state, it was said, "He has not died, but he is severely wounded." When night came, he could not endure the wounds and killed himself. The Prophet ﷺ was informed of that and said, "God is most great. I bear witness that I am the servant of God and His Messenger." Then he ordered Bilal, who called out among the people: "No one enters Paradise except a Muslim soul, and God [Mighty and Majestic] supports this religion with the wicked man."
