✧ We said: 'O Messenger of God, when we see you, our hearts soften and we become people of the Hereafter. But when we leave you, the world dazzles us and we smell women and children.' He said: 'Would that you were' or he said: 'Would that you were in every state upon the state you are upon with me, the angels would shake your hands with their palms and visit you in your homes. And if you did not sin, God would bring a people who sin so that He might forgive them.' He said: We said: 'O Messenger of God.'

machine translation"Tell us about Paradise: what is its construction?" He said: "A brick of gold and a brick of silver, its mortar is strong-scented musk, its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its soil is saffron. Whoever enters it will live in bliss and will not suffer misery, and will abide forever and will not die. His garments will not wear out and his youth will not fade. There are three whose supplication is not rejected: the just ruler, the fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of the wronged person. It is carried upon the clouds and the doors of the heavens are opened for it, and the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, says: By My might, I will surely help you, even if after a while."

machine translationAbū Mujāhid Saʿd b. Yazīd al-Ṭāʾī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Zuhayr b. Muʿāwiyah, ʿAmr b. Qays al-Mulāʾī and Saʿdān b. Bishr al-Juhanī narrated it from Saʿd Abū Mujāhid, from Abū Midallah, from Abū Hurayrah. Ḥamzah al-Zayyāt narrated it from Saʿd al-Ṭāʾī Abū Mujāhid, and said: from a man, from Abū Hurayrah. I think he did not remember his kunyah, so he said "from a man" and meant Abū Midallah, and God knows best. The hadith is preserved (maḥfūẓ).
