✧ Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon? They said: 'No, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there is no cloud below it?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'Then surely you will see Him like that. God will gather the people on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: Whoever used to worship something, let him follow it. So those who worshipped the sun will follow the sun, those who worshipped the moon will follow the moon, and those who worshipped the false deities will follow the false deities. This community will remain, including its intercessors or its hypocrites.' Abu Kamil said: Ibrahim was uncertain. 'Then God, Mighty and Majestic, will come to them in a form other than His form which they recognize, and will say: I am your Lord. They will say: We seek refuge in God from you. This is our place until our Lord comes to us, and when our Lord comes, we will recognize Him. Then God, Mighty and Majestic, will come to them in His form which they recognize, and will say: I am your Lord. They will say: You are our Lord. So they will follow Him. And the bridge will be set up over the midst of Hell, and I and my community will be the first to cross it. None will speak that day except the messengers, and the call of the messengers that day will be: O God, grant safety, grant safety. In Hell there will be hooks like the thorns of Sa'dan; have you seen Sa'dan?' They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'They are like the thorns of Sa'dan, but no one knows the extent of their size except God, Exalted is He. They will snatch people according to their deeds. Some will be destroyed by their deeds' - or he said: 'bound by their deeds' - 'or cut into pieces, and some will be punished.' Abu Kamil said in his narration: Ibrahim was uncertain: 'and some will be cut into pieces or punished, then saved, until when God, Mighty and Majestic, finishes the judgment between the servants and wants to bring out by His mercy from the people of the Fire whom He wills, He will command the angels to bring out from the Fire those who did not associate anything with God, among those whom God wants to have mercy on, those who say: There is no god but God. They will recognize them in the Fire by the mark of prostration, for the Fire consumes the son of Adam except the mark of prostration. God, Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden the Fire to consume the mark of prostration. So they will be brought out from the Fire having been burned, and the water of life will be poured over them, and they will sprout as the seed sprouts.' Abu Kamil said: 'the grain' also, 'in the silt carried by the torrent. There will remain a man with his face toward the Fire, and he is the last of the people of Paradise to enter. He will say: O Lord, turn my face away from the Fire, for its smell has afflicted me and its smoke has burned me. He will call upon God as long as God wills him to call, then God, Mighty and Majestic, will say: Would you perhaps, if that is done for you, ask for something else? He will say: No, by Your might, I will not ask for anything else. He will give his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, whatever covenants and pledges He wills. Then God, Mighty and Majestic, will turn his face away from the Fire. When he faces Paradise and sees it, he will remain silent as long as God wills him to remain silent, then he will say: O Lord, bring me near to the gate of Paradise. God, Mighty and Majestic, will say to him: Did you not give your covenants and pledges that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I gave you? Woe to you, O son of Adam, how treacherous you are! He will say: O Lord, and he will call upon God until He says to him: Would you perhaps, if you are given that, ask for something else? He will say: No, by Your might, I will not ask for anything else. He will give his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, whatever covenants and pledges He wills. Then He will bring him near to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise, Paradise will open up for him, and he will see what is in it of joy and happiness. He will remain silent as long as God wills him to remain silent, then he will say: O Lord, admit me to Paradise. God, Mighty and Majestic, will say to him: Did you not give your covenants and pledges that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I gave you? Woe to you, O son of Adam, how treacherous you are! He will say: O Lord, I do not want to be the most wretched of Your creation. He will keep calling upon God until God laughs at him. When God, Mighty and Majestic, laughs at him, He will say: Enter Paradise. When he enters it, God, Mighty and Majestic, will say to him: Wish. He will ask his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, and wish, until God, Mighty and Majestic, reminds him, saying: Such-and-such, until when his wishes are exhausted, God, Mighty and Majestic, will say to him: You have that and the like of it with it.' Ata' b. Yazid said: 'Abu Sa'id al-Khudri was with Abu Hurayrah, not contradicting anything of his narration, until when Abu Hurayrah narrated that God, Mighty and Majestic, said to that man: "And the like of it with it," Abu Sa'id said: "And ten times its like with it, O Abu Hurayrah." Abu Hurayrah said: "I only memorized His saying: 'You have that and the like of it with it.'" Abu Sa'id said: "I bear witness that I memorized from the Messenger of God ﷺ his saying concerning that man: 'You have ten times its like.'" Abu Hurayrah said: "And that man is the last of the people of Paradise to enter."
