حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

إِنَّ امْرَأَةً عُذِّبَتْ فِي هِرَّةٍ أَمْسَكَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ مِنَ الْجُوعِ، لَمْ تَكُنْ تُطْعِمُهَا. وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ حَشَرَاتِ الْأَرْضِ. وَغُفِرَ لِرَجُلٍ نَحَّى غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Abū Hurayrah
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ A woman was punished for a cat she confined until it died of hunger. She did not feed it, and she did not release it so that it could eat the insects of the earth. And a man was forgiven for removing a thorny branch from the path.
