حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَبَالَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَتَنَاوَلَهُ النَّاسُ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: دَعُوهُ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَلَى بَوْلِهِ سَجْلَ مَاءٍ، أَوْ ذَنُوبًا مِنْ مَاءٍ؛ فَإِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُمْ مُيَسِّرِينَ، وَلَمْ تُبْعَثُوا مُعَسِّرِينَ.

✧ A Bedouin stood and urinated in the mosque, so the people moved to grab him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: 'Leave him, and pour over his urine a bucket of water, or a pail of water; for you have been sent as those who make things easy, not as those who make things difficult.'
