حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ
أَسْرِعُوا بِجَنَائِزِكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً عَجَّلْتُمُوهَا إِلَى الْخَيْرِ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ طَالِحَةً اسْتَرَحْتُمْ مِنْهَا، وَوَضَعْتُمُوهَا عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ.

✧ Hasten with your funerals, for if the deceased was righteous, you are advancing them toward good; but if they were otherwise, you are relieving yourselves of them and setting them down from your shoulders.
