حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

مَنْ أَذْنَبَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ذَنْبًا، فَعُوقِبَ بِهِ، فَاللهُ أَعْدَلُ مِنْ أَنْ يُثَنِّيَ عُقُوبَتَهُ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ، وَمَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا فِي الدُّنْيَا، فَسَتَرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَفَا عَنْهُ، فَاللهُ أَكْرَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي شَيْءٍ قَدْ عَفَا عَنْهُ

Translation

  3. Abū Isḥāq
  4. Abū Juḥayfah
  5. ʿAlī
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Whoever commits a sin in this world and is punished for it, Allah is too just to repeat the punishment for His servant. And whoever commits a sin in this world, and Allah conceals it and pardons him, Allah is too generous to go back on something He has pardoned.
