حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ، وَلِي عِيَالٌ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ، أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ، وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا

✧ He proposed to Umm Hani' bt. Abi Talib, and she said: O Messenger of Allah, I have grown old and I have dependents. The Prophet ﷺ said: The best women who have ridden camels are the women of Quraysh, most tender to a child in his infancy and most careful of a husband with regard to what he possesses. Abu Hurayrah said: Maryam bt. 'Imran never rode a camel.
