✧ God loves sneezing and dislikes or hates yawning. When one of you says, 'Ah, ah,' that is only Satan laughing from inside him.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThere was disagreement about it regarding al-Maqburī. Muḥammad b. ʿAjlān, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Isḥāq, Ibn Jurayj and Abū Maʿshar narrated it from Saʿīd al-Maqburī from Abū Hurayrah. Ibn Abī Dhiʾb and Ibn Samʿān differed from them, and narrated it from al-Maqburī from his father from Abū Hurayrah. It seems that Ibn Abī Dhiʾb preserved it (best). Ibn Mubashshir narrated to us: Muḥammad b. Wazīr narrated to us: Isḥāq al-Azraq narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Muḥammad b. ʿAjlān, from Saʿīd, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "Indeed Allah loves sneezing and dislikes or hates yawning. So when one of you says 'hah, hah', that is only Satan laughing in his belly."
