Musnad Ahmad 7322
وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَكْمَلَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يُطِيفُونَ بِهِ يَقُولُونَ مَا رَأَيْنَا بِناءً أَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا هَذِهِ الثُّلْمَةَ فَأَنَا تِلْكَ الثُّلْمَةُ
Translation
✧ And the likeness of the prophets is like a man who built a structure, made it excellent, complete, and beautiful. People began going around it, saying, 'We have not seen a structure more beautiful than this, except for this gap.' I am that gap.
