حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَا تَلَقَّوُا الْبَيْعَ، وَلَا تُصَرُّوا الْغَنَمَ وَالْإِبِلَ لِلْبَيْعِ فَمَنِ ابْتَاعَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ بِخَيْرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ إِنْ شَاءَ أَمْسَكَهَا، وَإِنْ شَاءَ رَدَّهَا بِصَاعِ تَمْرٍ لَا سَمْرَاءَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Abū al-Zinād
  3. al-Aʿraj
  4. Abū Hurayrah Yablugh Bih
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Do not go out to meet the caravans to buy from them, and do not keep the sheep and camels unmilked for sale. Whoever buys them after that has the choice of the two options: if he wishes he may keep them, and if he wishes he may return them with a sa' of dates, not wheat.
