- ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Aʿraj
- Abū Hurayrah
✧ You claim that Abu Hurayrah narrates many hadiths from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Allah is the One to whom we will return. I was a poor man who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a full stomach, while the Emigrants were occupied with trading in the markets and the Helpers were occupied with tending their wealth. I attended a gathering of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, “Who will spread his cloak until I finish my speech and then gather it to himself, and he will never forget anything he heard from me?” I spread a cloak I had on until he finished his speech, then I gathered it to myself. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I have not forgotten anything since I heard it from him.
