حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ ابْنَ أُكَيْمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةً نَظُنُّ أَنَّهَا الصُّبْحُ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: هَلْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ؟ قَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَنَا. قَالَ: أَقُولُ: مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in a prayer we believe was the dawn prayer. When he finished, he said, “Did any of you recite?” A man said, “I did.” He said, “I say: What is the matter with me that I am being contested regarding the Quran?”
