✧ When Friday comes, the devils go out to incite people to their markets, carrying banners. The angels sit at the doors of the mosques, recording people according to their ranks: the first comer, the one who prays, and the one who follows him, until the imam comes out. Whoever sits near the imam, listens, is silent, and does not engage in idle talk, will have two portions of reward. Whoever sits far from him, listens, is silent, and does not engage in idle talk, will have one portion of reward. Whoever sits near the imam but engages in idle talk, does not listen, and does not remain silent, will have two portions of sin. Whoever sits far from him and engages in idle talk, does not listen, and does not remain silent, will have one portion of sin. Whoever says "Hush" has spoken, and whoever speaks has no Friday prayer. Then he said: This is how I heard your Prophet ﷺ say.
