✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people in the year of the conquest on the steps of the Kaaba. Among what he said, after praising Allah, was: O people, every alliance that existed in the pre-Islamic era has only been strengthened by Islam, and there is no alliance in Islam, and no emigration after the conquest. The hand of the Muslims is one against those other than them, their blood is equal, and a believer is not killed for a disbeliever. The blood money of a disbeliever is like half the blood money of a Muslim. Indeed, there is no shighar in Islam, no janab, no jalab, and their charities are taken in their lands. The lowest of them may grant protection on behalf of the Muslims, and the farthest of them may return it. Then he descended.
