✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ in the year of the conquest while he was in Makkah saying: 'Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of wine, dead animals, and pigs.' It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about the fats of dead animals, for ships are greased with them, hides are greased with them, and people use them for lamps?' He said: 'No, it is forbidden.' Then he said: 'May Allah fight the Jews. When Allah forbade fats to them, they melted them down, then sold them and ate their price.'
