✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to distribute spoils of war, he would order Bilal, who would call out three times. A man brought a nose-rein of hair to the Prophet ﷺ after the spoils had been divided, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this is from spoils I had obtained.' He said: 'Did you not hear Bilal calling out three times?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'What prevented you from bringing it to me?' He made an excuse, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I will not accept it from you until you are the one who brings it to me on the Day of Resurrection.'
