حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

إِنَّ الْمُهَاجِرَ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَالْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

Translation

  5. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr
  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ The emigrant is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden, and the Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.
