Musnad Ahmad 6887

Translation

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on his mount at Mina. He said: A man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I thought that shaving was before slaughtering, so I shaved before I slaughtered." He said, "Slaughter, and there is no harm." He said: Then another came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I thought that slaughtering was before the throwing, so I slaughtered before I threw." He said, "Throw, and there is no harm." He said: He was not asked about anything that a man had done before something except that he said, "Do it, and there is no harm."
