✧ When the pledge of allegiance to Yazid b. Mu'awiyah came to us, I went to Syria and was told of a station where Nawf would stand, so I went to him. A man came wearing a cloak, and the people crowded around him; he was Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As. When Nawf saw him, he stopped speaking. Abdullah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'There will be migration after migration, and the people will move to the place of Ibrahim's migration. None will remain on earth except its worst people; their lands will expel them, Allah's self will abhor them, and the Fire will gather them with apes and swine. It will spend the night with them when they spend the night, take a midday nap with them when they take a midday nap, and eat whoever falls behind.'

Notes

machine translationHe said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There will come forth people from my Ummah from the direction of the east who recite the Quran, but it does not go beyond their collarbones. Whenever a generation of them comes forth, it is cut off. Whenever a generation of them comes forth, it is cut off" — until he counted it more than ten times — "Whenever a generation of them comes forth, it is cut off, until the Dajjal comes forth among their remnant."
