✧ Whoever kills deliberately is handed over to the guardians of the slain. If they wish, they kill him, and if they wish, they take the blood money, which is thirty hiqqah, thirty jadhaʿah, and forty khalifah. That is the blood money for intentional killing. Whatever they settle upon is theirs, and that is the strict blood money.
