حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَا يَقُصُّ إِلَّا أَمِيرٌ أَوْ مَأْمُورٌ أَوْ مُرَاءٍ. فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَبْلُغُنَا، أَوْ مُتَكَلِّفٌ

Translation

✧ None but a ruler, one given orders, or one showing off should tell stories. I said to him: It only reached us, or one pretending.
