حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ نُكِحَتْ عَلَى صَدَاقٍ، أَوْ حِبَاءٍ، أَوْ عِدَةٍ قَبْلَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ فَهُوَ لَهَا، وَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ فَهُوَ لِمَنْ أُعْطِيَهُ، وَأَحَقُّ مَا يُكْرَمُ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ ابْنَتُهُ أَوْ أُخْتُهُ

Translation

✧ Whatever woman is married upon a dowry, gift, or promise before the bond of marriage, it is hers; and whatever is after the bond of marriage belongs to the one to whom it was given. And the most deserving of being honored through him is a man's daughter or sister.
