✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah in the year of the conquest, he stood among the people as a preacher and said: O people, whatever alliance existed in the Jahiliyyah, Islam only increased it in strength, and there is no alliance in Islam. The Muslims are one hand against those besides them; their blood is equal. The lowest of them may grant protection on their behalf, and the farthest of them may return [spoils] on their behalf; their raiding parties return to their base. A believer is not to be killed for a disbeliever. The blood money for a disbeliever is half the blood money of a Muslim. There is no [collecting zakat at the watering place] and no [keeping animals apart at zakat time], and their zakat is not to be taken except in their own lands.
