حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا، وَتَخْرُجُ الدَّابَّةُ عَلَى النَّاسِ ضُحًى فَأَيُّهُمَا خَرَجَ قَبْلَ صَاحِبِهِ فَالْأُخْرَى مِنْهَا قَرِيبٌ. وَلَا أَحْسِبُهُ إِلَّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا، هِيَ الَّتِي أَوَّلًا

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Abū Ḥayyān
  4. Abū Zurʿah
  5. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr

✧ The sun will rise from the west, and the beast will come out upon the people in the forenoon. Whichever of them comes out before its companion, the other is near. I do not think it is anything but the rising of the sun from the west: it is the first.
