Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ about the Night of Decree, he said: Whoever seeks it, let him seek it on the night of the twenty-seventh.

• قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَذَكَرَ لِي رَجُلٌ ثِقَةٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَ ذَا أَوْ ذَا شُعْبَةُ شَكَّ [قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] قَالَ أَبِي الرَّجُلُ الثِّقَةُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ
