حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: لَا تَلَقَّوُا الْبُيُوعَ، وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضٌ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ، وَلَا يَخْطُبْ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ أَحَدٌ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْخَاطِبُ الْأَوَّلُ أَوْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ فَيَخْطُبَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a town-dweller from selling on behalf of a desert-dweller, and he used to say: "Do not go out to meet the caravans, and let no one sell over the sale of another, and let none of you propose over the proposal of his brother until the first suitor leaves or gives him permission to propose."
