حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: نَجِدُ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ وَصَلَاةَ الْحَضَرِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ، وَلَا نَجِدُ صَلَاةَ الْمُسَافِرِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: بَعَثَ اللهُ نَبِيَّهُ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ أَجْفَى النَّاسِ، فَنَصْنَعُ كَمَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ He said to Ibn Umar: We find the fear prayer and the prayer of residence in the Qur'an, but we do not find the traveler's prayer. Ibn Umar said: Allah sent His Prophet ﷺ while we were the most ignorant of people, so we do as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did.
