حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ حَتَّى يَكُونَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ رَفَعَهُمَا، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ رَفَعَهُمَا. وَلَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي السُّجُودِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands when he said the takbir until they were level with his shoulders or close to that, and when he bowed he raised them, and when he raised his head from the rak'ah he raised them. He did not do that in prostration.
