✧ I went out with Ibn Umar from his house, and we passed by some youths of Quraysh who had set up a bird and were shooting at it, and they had awarded the owner of the bird every missed shot of their arrows. When they saw Ibn Umar, they dispersed. Ibn Umar said: Who did this? May Allah curse the one who did this. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: May Allah curse the one who takes anything with a soul as a target.
