حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
كُنْتُ أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَأَقْبِضُ الْوَرِقَ مِنَ الدَّنَانِيرِ وَالدَّنَانِيرَ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، رُوَيْدَكَ أَسْأَلْكَ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَأَقْبِضُ هَذِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَهَذِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ. فَقَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَهَا بِسِعْرِ يَوْمِهَا مَا لَمْ تَفْتَرِقَا وَبَيْنَكُمَا شَيْءٌ
Translation

✧ I used to sell camels at al-Baqi'. I would receive silver for dinars and dinars for silver. I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the house of Hafsah and said, "O Messenger of Allah, wait a moment so I may ask you. I used to sell camels at al-Baqi', and I would receive these for those and those for these." He said, "There is no harm in taking them at the rate of that day, as long as you do not part while something remains between you."
