حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَمَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ: الْإِمَامُ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ، وَالرَّجُلُ فِي أَهْلِهِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ فِي بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا رَاعِيَةٌ وَهِيَ مَسْؤُولَةٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهَا، وَالْخَادِمُ فِي مَالِ سَيِّدِهِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَأَحْسِبُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: وَالرَّجُلُ فِي مَالِ أَبِيهِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ فَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
Translation

✧ Each of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The imam is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for his flock. The woman is a shepherd in her husband's house and is responsible for her flock. The servant is a shepherd over his master's wealth and is responsible for his flock. He said: I heard these from the Prophet ﷺ, and I think the Prophet ﷺ also said: 'And the man is a shepherd over his father's wealth and is responsible for his flock.' So each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.
