حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ جُلَيْدٍ الْحَجْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَمْ يُعْفَى عَنِ الْمَمْلُوكِ ؟ قَالَ: فَصَمَتَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَ فَصَمَتَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَ فَقَالَ: يُعْفَى عَنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, how many times is a slave pardoned? He said: He was silent. Then he repeated, and he was silent. Then he repeated, and he said: He is pardoned every day seventy times.
