✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent us on a military expedition. When we met the enemy, we fled at the first attack. We arrived in Madinah with a group at night and hid. Then we said: If only we went out to the Messenger of God ﷺ and apologized to him. So we went out, and when we met him, we said: We are the ones who fled, O Messenger of God? He said: Rather you are the ones who return to fight, and I am your refuge.
