حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَةٌ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَصَلُّوا

Translation

✧ The sun and the moon do not eclipse for anyone's death or life, but they are a sign among the signs of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He. So when you see them, pray.
