حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي اللَّيْلِ، وَيُوتِرُ رَاكِبًا عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ لَا يُبَالِي حَيْثُ وَجَّهَهُ قَالَ: وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَنَا سَالِمًا يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ، وَقَدْ

Translation

✧ That Abdullah used to pray at night and perform Witr (an optional prayer) while riding on his camel without caring about the direction he faced. He said, "I have seen Salim doing the same, and Nafi' informed me that Abdullah used to do it following the example of the Prophet ﷺ."
