حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الْعَمِّيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَاحِدَةً فَتِلْكَ وَظِيفَةُ الْوُضُوءِ الَّتِي لَا بُدَّ مِنْهَا، وَمَنْ تَوَضَّأَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُ كِفْلَيْنِ، وَمَنْ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا فَذَلِكَ وُضُوئِي وَوُضُوءُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ قَبْلِي

Translation

  3. Zayd al-ʿAmmī
  4. Nāfiʿ
  5. Ibn ʿUmar
  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ Whoever performs ablution once, that is the obligatory function of ablution without which it is not sufficient. Whoever performs it twice will have a double reward. Whoever performs it three times, that is my ablution and the ablution of the prophets before me.
