حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْحُرِّ بْنِ الصَّيَّاحِ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ: الْخَمِيسَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الشَّهْرِ، وَالِاثْنَيْنِ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، وَالِاثْنَيْنِ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ

Translation

  4. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to fast three days of every month: the Thursday from the beginning of the month, the Monday that follows it, and the Monday that follows that.
