Translation

✧ I heard Abdullah b. Umar b. al-Khattab when a man asked him about something — Shu'ba said: I think he asked him about a pilgrim in ihram killing a fly — and Abdullah said: The people of Iraq ask about the fly while they have killed the son of the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: They are my two sweet basils of this world.
