حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ، فَأَسْرَعْتُ لِأَسْمَعَ كَلَامَهُ، فَتَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَبْلُغَ ( وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْتَهِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ ) فَسَأَلْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ: مَاذَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ.

✧ I entered the mosque and saw the Prophet ﷺ with people around him. I hurried to hear his words, but the people dispersed before I reached them (and he said once: before I got to them). So I asked one of them: What did the Messenger of God ﷺ say? He said: He forbade gourds and glazed jars.
